Te Pā - One Land, Two Peoples
Eyeworks New Zealand and Black Inc Communications are looking for three New Zealand families to take part in a ground-breaking new television series for Television New Zealand.
In the spirit of Colonial House and Pioneer House, Te Pa will transport three families back to 1850s New Zealand, to the period after the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. Two Māori families will live in a traditional Māori Pa and one Pakeha family will live nearby as a missionary or working class family might have done in the 1850s.
This exciting project will take three modern-day families on the adventure of a lifetime, living in authentic conditions as they would have in 1850s New Zealand for nearly two months.
We are looking for an extended family to take part in this experiment. This could include grandparents, siblings of parents, or other family relations.
The three families we are looking for are:
- Pakeha family including a Mum, Dad and three or more children.
- Maori family including a Mum, Dad and three or more children.
Must be fluent in te Reo Maori
- Maori family including a Mum, Dad and three or more children.
